The Fraudulent Son
Mummy Ife ran into the banking hall frantically asking for the manager, she had been saving money in her new account since January and needed some funds for an emergency. She had confidently filled a withdrawal slip for N20,000.00 and presented same at the counter, but the teller sent her to customer service saying there was no money in her account.
Reeling in shock, she insisted she had paid in N20,000.00 three times into the account in the last 3 months and she had made no withdrawals. Branch manager, thank you very much, we will settle this at home, she stands up slowly, crying and looking at her son and then slowly walks out with her son trailing after her, pleading.

The branch manager reviewed the statement and asked Mummy Ife if she knew any of the beneficiaries, she insisted the names were not known to her. The manager asked her if she had children? They are small innocent kids, they know nothing of banking, she exclaimed.
The branch manager sent a mail to the fraud desk and a response came back almost immediately, the funds were transferred to two accounts and they gave the account names and numbers, the recharge card was purchased for phone number 080419*****. The branch manager calls Mummy Ife, and asks her to check if she knows the phone number? She confirms the number belongs to her son, Ife.
