As a Bank, we have promised our customers speed, service, security and sustainability at every point. Let’s talk about security today. The promise of security means we will do everything within our capacity to ensure that Access Bank customers are safe while carrying out transactions either at our branches, ATMs or via our online platforms.
Delivering on this promise is a collective effort. This means we all have a role to play in ensuring all customer information in our care is properly protected, most importantly not divulging information that will put customers at risk. This thought should always be top of mind.
We know speed is one of our commitments to customers, however, in a bid to quickly resolve issues, it is important that you tick all the boxes to ensure that the customer will not be compromised in the future.
How can you ensure security at your workstation? Be very careful about what you say about your customers even to friends or family. Every office has a role to play in ensuring the security of customers so always do your part by doing your job diligently. Take every interaction as an opportunity to emphasize to customers that the Bank will never ask of them for their confidential email such as your PIN and OTP. Stay informed about issues going on in the community (e.g criminals come up with new ways of defrauding people on social media everyday) in order to be aware and alert. Remember that dropping the ball at any time might cause a chain reaction that could put customers at risk.
