Employee Spotlight
Our employee spotlight for this week is Chukwuma Osahor. He works in the Digital Partnerships Unit.
Get to know more about Chukwuma.
1. How long have you worked at Access Bank?
I joined the Bank in February 2013. I've had an amazing 8 years so far.
2. What does your job entail?
As a technology business leader for Access Bank Plc, I work with a team that is focused on helping customers with their technological needs as it relates to the Bank.
Working with several digital partners, my job is to drive co- creation of technology powered solutions for their digital business, leveraging on the tech capabilities in Access Bank's Partnerships and Digital Capabilities Group.
Within the Partnerships and Digital Capabilities Group, I lead a team that engages strategic digital partnership programs in two main ways:
1) Strategic partnerships with selected Fintechs in Nigeria and across Africa
2) Co-innovation with technology leaders from retail, manufacturing, telecom and media, automotive to financial services
Our mission is to position the Bank as a major digital financial services partner of choice for Fintechs and digitally led firms.
3. What do you like most about your job?
I'd say I love the fact that it's a fusion of business and technology.
As new trends like big data, artificial intelligence, data mining, marketing technology, and others are slated to become deeply integrated in our everyday lives, there will be more demand for people who can bridge the gap between business and technology.
My job provides this bridge and enables business and technology functions to more effectively collaborate, innovate, and co- create new sources of value for the Bank.
Beyond the tech, I have an excellent boss, Toye Soladoye and
super amazing colleagues. What more can I ask for?
4. What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
I’ve learnt several lessons from leaders like Roosevelt, Hadiza, Ralph, Lookman, Segun, Hassan, Seun, Boye, Dapo, Ejimi, to mention a few.
But one of the greatest lessons is the concept of value creation. I call it the MMM approach (No! not that MMM you know)
