Our employee spotlight for this week is Jeanette Ndidiamaka Uddoh. She works in the Innovation Unit.
Get to know more about Jeanette.
1. How long have you worked at Access Bank?
7 years, 9 months
2. What does your job entail?
My job entails managing the innovation culture and journey of the Bank by designing innovation programs that align with the Bank's strategic vision at the intersection of ideation and implementation.
3. What do you like most about your job?
I love that it is a challenging role. It is isn't monotonous - there's always something new. It allows me to harness my creative side and think outside the box. Creativity and innovation are two peas in a pod. I get excited when I see ideas come to life from the conceptualization stage because someone saw a problem and provided a solution. It's a great feeling!
4. What is the best career lesson you've learned so far? There are no short cuts to excellence. Always strive for excellence in all that you do, and
every other thing will follow. Peers or supervisors will always root for employees that make their job easier. It's that simple!
5. What would you do (for a career) if you weren't doing this? I would be a high fashion model in New York or Paris, lol; or a T.V personality with my own talk show.
6. What do you like to do when you aren't working?
I love travelling and going on adventures, shopping (especially fashion), watching movies, reading anything I can lay my hands on and just enjoying life in general. You only live once!
7. What's a fun fact about you many people may not know?
I creative directed and co- ordinated T.V Personality, Denrele's 2018 birthday shoot that went viral. It was different and people loved it! I've also creative directed and modelled in a couple of fashion videos or campaigns you might have seen online.
8. What drives you as a person?
My passion for excellence. I do not compromise on excellence.
9. Do you have any passion project?
Asides from consistently partnering with Social Media Week, Lagos where I host impactful events on topical issues.

I am also the founder of Africa Rising - Women in Innovation, a premier community of innovators championing the cause of African & Neo-African Women in Innovation. I started it in response to the gender and diversity gap in innovation and so far, it has been an amazing journey.

Do you, everyone else is taken.
