take breaks the right way while you work
Who knew there was a right way to take short breaks to increase productivity? Research has shown that when breaks are taken properly, they can in fact increase a person's productivity.

Schedule it
Even the short breaks. When you don't, you run the risk of skipping them, resulting in working for a longer period of time, becoming fatigued and needing a longer break to recuperate
Move
When you're due a break get up and move around. Don't stay glued to the designated working area you've been in most of the day, otherwise, its not really a break
Switch it up
Change your focus to something unrelated to work for the duration of your break. You come back refreshed and ready to get stuck right back in
Listen to your body
Eat, make a coffee, drink water, go to the restroom and do all the little things that support you mentally while you work
Be disciplined
Taking a quick 10-minute break should be exactly that, 10 minutes. Don't over extend your breaks, set a timer if needed to ensure you return to work in a timely manner
Watch your productivity levels improve when you follow these tips.
