Account Officer, Business Banking Division
Hello, I'm Oluwafemi Ayobola Falade. I'm an Executive Trainee based in Benin City, Edo State.
After studying Agriculture at university, it baffled me that although about 70% of Nigerians' livelihoods revolve around farming, the bulk of them still live below the poverty line of $2 per day.
I realised how their productivity could be boosted through trainings to improve farming practices and linked this to Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 1 - Zero Poverty, SDG 2 - No Hunger, SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production.
Virtually, I have reached out to 100,000 farmers with a focus on climate smart agribusiness. Seeing people make adjustments that change their lives for the better is a joyful experience for me.
A lot of people do not buy into the urgency of achieving the SDGs, perhaps because of a lack of awareness. The more we inform,
Financial inclusion and education will also be a veritable tool in creating awareness and spurring others to take action.
The milestones that Access Bank have racked up in the sustainability space also motivate me. I am privileged to be part of our sustainability success story, as each year we go on to do greater things. We are not just leading in Nigeria, but also have the world’s recognition.

enlighten and advocate on the SDGs, the closer we will be to achieving our targets. I am honoured to be a Sustainability Champion
and take on this role.
I am keen to get involved
in supporting the Bank's
robust training schedule both in training school and beyond. Online advocacy has made it easy to influence my peers beyond my locality.
Winning awards from the SERAS, CBN and Karlsruhe further ignited my willingness to contribute more to this enviable achievement. "Allen Plastic
